Stone R Art was born from stillness, survival, and the sacred act of working with my hands.
My name is Irene — artist, hypnotist, storyteller, and lifelong creator. For over 20 years, I have been painting stones as a form of meditation and medicine. What began as a quiet evening ritual evolved into something deeper: a practice of grounding intention into natural materials — rock, wire, wood, and glass.
Under my native name, Gigidoe Nodin Kwey — loosely translated as Speaking Wind Woman — I create pieces that feel both rooted and alive. Much of my work is inspired by ancestral influence, resilience, and the quiet wisdom found in nature.
Each twisted tree sculpture, wire-wrapped pendant, and hand-painted stone is created without molds or repetition. No two pieces are ever the same. The bends in the wire, the flow of branches, the placement of beads — they unfold organically, much like life itself.

My twisted wire trees are rooted in natural stone — often river rock with quartz veins — symbolizing strength, growth, and transformation. My pendants are wrapped by hand to honor the natural shape of each stone or gem. My painted rocks carry words, symbols, and reminders meant to ground and uplift.
